The International Film Festival for Children and Youth has kicked off on Thursday in Isfahan.
The inauguration ceremony for the 31st edition of the festival was held in the presence of audiences and cultural officials.
Jointly organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation, Isfahan Municipality and Iran Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, the festival includes national and international competition sections.
A lineup of 41 films are to vie at the Iran section, 45 will compete at the international section and some 32 films will be screened at the non-competition section of the event.
Thematic priorities of the event are promotion of ethics, family values, humanitarianism, self confidence, social responsibility and environmental awareness.
The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for children and Youth is slated for August 30-September 5, 2018, in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
